Cleburne Yellowjackets (4-5, 3-3) at Juan Seguin Cougars (3-6, 2-4)
· THE SERIES: Seguin leads the series, winning the only meeting, 51-24, last year in Cleburne.
· LAST WEEK: Seguin lost to Mansfield Summit, 35-18, while Cleburne was nosed out by Everman, 35-34.
· TURNING IT AROUND: A year ago at this time, Cleburne was 1-8 and had allowed 40 points a game. A year later, the Yellowjackets are playing for a playoff spot. Both teams are still playoff eligible, but would need some help.
· A LONG DROUGHT: Cleburne has not beaten an AISD team since 1977, when the ‘Jackets defeated Bowie, 20-14, at Wilemon Field. Cleburne is 8-15 all-time against Arlington schools.
Mansfield Summit Jaguars (8-1, 5-1) at Granbury Pirates (5-4, 4-2)
· THE SERIES: The Jaguars lead the series, 5-0, including both previous meetings in Granbury.
· LAST WEEK: District-champion Summit stopped Seguin, 35-18, while Granbury outscored Burleson, 46-27.
· FASTEN YOUR SEATBELTS: Granbury can clinch a playoff berth with a win on Friday. If they lose, and Burleson and Cleburne both win, there will be a three-way tie for the final two playoff spots. And since the usual point-differential tie-breaker will not solve the problem, a coin toss will decide the playoff participants.
